Frequently asked Questions?
• How will I take the prints?
You will be sent an inkless print kit and full instructions on how to take the print, you will receive a special sheet of paper with an inkless wipe which is safe to use with babies. Simply wipe the hand or foot or finger or paw (in the case of pet) and press onto the sheet of paper, preferably on top of a hard background. The print will then appear on the paper. For fingerprint, it is best to use either the index or middle finger as the print is more defined.
Once you have taken the print, return them to us in the stamped addressed envelope provided.
• Can you take the prints for me?
Our showroom is at at Beadees, Blk 1 Tangjong PagarPlaza #02-55. Visit us to have your print taken by us.
• Do you have any tips on taking prints?
Wait until your child is calm and feeling relatively happy or, alternatively, fast asleep!
For the fingerprint, try to use the thumb, forefinger or middle finger for a more defined print.
Make sure you wipe all areas of the hand, foot, finger or paw (in the case of pet). Rest the paper on something solid, like a book, and hold the hand, foot, finer or paw (in the case of pet) firmly in place for a few seconds. For young children and babies, it can be helpful to sit them in a high chair so that you can use both hands. If in doubt, wait until someone can help out with an extra pair of hands.
• Is there an age limit on the fingerprints or hand and footprints?
It is difficult to get a well-defined fingerprint from a child under the age of 18 months to 2 years. There is no upper age limit on fingerprints and no age restrictions at all on hand or footprints.
• Can you use a hand or footprint which wasn't taken using your inkless kit?
Yes, we can work with any hand or footprint or even the scan of the foetus in the womb. You will not need to send the original to us, just scan a copy and email it to us.
• How long does it take for the jewellery to be made?
On average, it takes between 7 to 10 working days to make the jewellery after receiving the prints so if you are ordering for a birthday etc, do try to order well in advance. If you are working to a shorter timescale, contact us before ordering and we may be able to accommodate you.
• How do I go about sending my artwork picture to you?
You can send your artwork ( use black marker to draw ) to us by email or post. Once you have sent the picture through, we will let you know what shape charm will best accommodate it if you are unsure.
• Will you keep in touch once the print has been sent?
Yes, we will contact you to let you know that we have received your prints and again to tell you that your order has been dispatched.
• Are the charms made from real silver?
All of our charms are made from fine silver which contains a higher silver content (99.9% Silver) than sterling silver. Because the silver content is higher, the charms can be damaged if dropped or if they consistently hit other hard objects.
• How should I care for my jewellery?
Your charm should be cleaned with a special jewellery polishing cloth. If your charm has been blackened, please do not immerse it in a jewellery cleaning solution as it will remove the black effect.
